drug.fun is a memecoin launchpad on Solana, built on top of pump.fun. Anyone can launch a coin in a couple of minutes, and every coin is a normal pump.fun coin: it trades on pump.fun's bonding curve and later moves to PumpSwap.
What is different here: when you launch, you can pair your coin with a theme (Cocaine, Cannabis, MDMA, Psychedelics or Ketamine). Each theme is linked to a real tokenized stock. The idea is that part of the trading fees your coin generates is used to buy that stock for the coin's holders. The theme names are the style of the site; the only real assets involved are the memecoins and the tokenized stocks.
- Install a Solana wallet such as Phantom or Solflare, and put some SOL in it.
- Open drug.fun and press Connect wallet. On a phone, open drug.fun inside your wallet app's built-in browser.
- To trade: open a listing, choose an amount, and approve the transaction in your wallet.
- To launch: go to Become a Vendor.
drug.fun never holds your money. Every action is a transaction that you approve in your own wallet.
- Fill in a name, ticker, description and a token image (PNG, JPG, GIF or WEBP, under 2 MB). Add X, Telegram and website links if you have them.
- Pick a pair (or none). The pair decides which tokenized stock your holders are meant to earn.
- Optionally add a first buy: you buy some of your own coin in the same transaction, before anyone else can.
- Press launch and approve in your wallet. Depending on the setup this takes one or two approvals.
- When it finishes you get your contract address, a link to your coin on pump.fun, and your listing page on drug.fun.
What it costs you: a small network fee, a little SOL for account rent (about 0.02 SOL), plus your first buy if you choose one. Every coin has a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens and nobody can mint more.
A new coin starts on pump.fun's bonding curve: a price formula that raises the price as people buy and lowers it as people sell. Nobody has to provide liquidity, and there is no liquidity to pull.
When enough has been bought, the coin graduates: it moves from the curve to a PumpSwap pool, where it trades like on any exchange pool. drug.fun handles both stages, and you can also trade the same coin on pump.fun.
Trades on drug.fun use a maximum slippage of 5%. If the price moves more than that before your transaction lands, it fails instead of filling at a bad price.
| Fee | Amount | Who gets it |
|---|---|---|
| pump.fun trading fee (on the curve) | about 1.25% per trade | 0.95% pump.fun, 0.30% the coin's creator fee (split, see below) |
| PumpSwap fee (after graduation) | varies with market cap | Set by pump.fun; includes a creator fee that follows the same split |
| drug.fun fee on buys | none right now | drug.fun |
| Network fee + account rent | a few cents | Solana |
How the creator fee is split. When a coin is launched here, its creator fee is split between wallets. The split is written on-chain and locked forever: nobody, including drug.fun and the creator, can change it afterwards. drug.fun checks it before listing any coin.
| Coin type | Creator (vendor) | Holder rewards wallet | drug.fun |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paired with a theme | 20% | 60% | 20% |
| Unpaired | 50% | none | 50% |
Both wallets are public, so you can watch them yourself: holder rewards wallet · drug.fun fee wallet.
Every theme is linked to a real tokenized stock. Below is the reason behind each pairing and the exact token it uses, so you can check it yourself. We only use stocks that can really be bought on Solana at a fair price. Some obvious ideas (a cannabis company, MindMed, Live Nation) were skipped because no token of them can be bought.
Cocaine → Coca-Cola (KOx)
Coca-Cola's original formula, from the 1880s, used extract of the coca leaf: the plant cocaine is made from. The cocaine was removed in the early 1900s and today's recipe uses a cocaine-free extract. It is the most famous cocaine story in business history, so it gets the pair.
Cannabis → McDonald's (MCDx)
The munchies are cannabis's most famous side effect: a sudden, serious craving for food, usually late at night. Nobody is more associated with late-night food than McDonald's. No cannabis company or cannabis ETF exists as a token on Solana, so the joke had to be edible.
MDMA → Sphere Entertainment (Backpack Securities)
MDMA is the party drug of raves and festivals: lights, sound, crowds and dancing. Sphere Entertainment owns the Sphere in Las Vegas, an enormous venue wrapped in a giant LED screen that puts on immersive light-and-sound shows. It is the closest thing to a rave you can buy a stock in.
Psychedelics → NVIDIA (NVDAx)
Psychedelics are about vivid visuals and an altered sense of reality. NVIDIA's chips generate the images and the AI that people say "hallucinates": inventing things that are not there. Same effect, silicon instead of mushrooms.
Ketamine → Johnson & Johnson (Backpack Securities)
This one is real. Johnson & Johnson makes Spravato, a nasal spray based on esketamine (a form of ketamine) that the FDA approved in 2019 for treatment-resistant depression. It is the one pairing on the list that is medicine, not a joke.
How payouts work. The rewards share of a paired coin's trading fees goes to the holder rewards wallet. In rounds, that money is used to buy the paired tokenized stock, and the stock is sent to holders in proportion to what they hold and for how long (holding longer counts for more). Nothing needs to be claimed: it arrives in your wallet.
- There is no fixed schedule. A round runs when a coin's pot is big enough to be worth buying and sending.
- A holder is only paid once their share is worth at least $5. Smaller shares are not lost: they roll over into the next round.
- All costs (network fees, the swap, and the small one-time cost of creating your stock account) come out of the rewards pot. Holders are never asked to pay.
- Exchange, pool and program accounts are not counted as holders.
Rewards are not guaranteed. What holders receive depends on how much a coin is traded. The stock list can change, and a tokenized stock must be available on Solana at the time. The companies that issue these tokens set their own rules about who may hold them, and they can freeze or pause a token.
Every coin launched through drug.fun has a contract address that ends in drug. It is a quick way to recognise a coin that went through the drug.fun launch and its locked fee split. The site will not list a coin whose address does not end this way.
- Never share your recovery phrase (the 12 or 24 words) or a private key with anyone. drug.fun and its team will never ask for it.
- Always check the address bar says drug.fun. Fake copies of sites are common.
- Read every wallet pop-up. If it asks for something you do not understand, press Reject.
- Memecoins are very risky. Prices can fall to zero and you can lose everything you put in. Only use money you can afford to lose.
- Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed or refunded.
- Nothing on this site is financial advice.
- Bonding curve
- The price formula a new coin trades on before it graduates.
- Graduation
- The moment a coin moves from the bonding curve to a PumpSwap pool.
- PumpSwap
- pump.fun's own exchange pool, where graduated coins trade.
- Contract address
- The unique address of a coin on Solana. Use it to find the exact coin.
- Slippage
- How much worse than the quoted price you accept when trading.
- Creator fee
- The part of each trade fee that goes to the coin's creator side. On drug.fun it is shared as shown in the fee tables.
- Tokenized stock
- A token on Solana that tracks the price of a real company's stock.
- Wallet
- The app (like Phantom) that holds your coins and signs your transactions.
